At the meeting the Parties discussed further inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Poland, including cooperation in the field of education and science, and future visit of Bronislaw Komarowski, the Vice-Speaker of the Polish Sejm, to Ukraine.
The Parties also discussed preparation of the joint meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Science and Education and The Education, Science and Youth Committee of the Polish Sejm that will be held on 5 March 2008. The interlocutors deem necessary to assist the Ukrainian Party in extension of possibilities of education and training at the leading universities of the Republic of Poland, and in Ukraine´s participation in educational and scientific programs of the European Union.
Volodymyr Polokhalo, the Committee Chairman and the Co-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Deputy Group on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with the Republic of Poland, dwelled on simplified procedure of visa issue for Ukrainian participants of educational and scientific exchanges.
Oksana Bilozir, the Co-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Deputy Group on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with the Republic of Poland, Stepan Kurpil and Oleksiy Plotnikov, the Vice-Co-Chairmen, also attended the meeting.
